I’m Kim, born in the time of Gemini, a fifth-generation decedent of the Wilders of Santa Cruz. In the spirit of adventure, and then some, I moved to Australia in 1981 and have lived here ever since.
I write Speculative Fiction – Fantasy, SF, Paranormal Romance, Science Fantasy and Urban Fantasy, – under my birth name Kim Falconer.
My works appear in bookstores around the world, all major online venues and on specialty apps like KissApp and PocketComics. I have been nominated for the prestigious Norma K. Hemming Award for excellence in speculative fiction and featured on the @iansomerhalder (7m + twitter followers) book club for top books to read.
The pen name A. K. Wilder is for my Young Adult books, a name chosen to honor my roots, remember the original custodians of Santa Cruz – the Awaswas people – and acknowledge the collaboration with my son who has helped bring these books to life.
I have a Masters degree in writing from Swinburne University in Melbourne and, being an astrologer like my father before me, offer a daily divination for those keen on Astrology and the Law of Attraction.
