Dearest Readers,
In case you didn’t see it on the front page, I want to explain about that release date…
You will notice it’s changed, and I do apologize. Yes, this is the sixth time the date has changed since the series was acquired in 2017 by Entangled Publishing/Macmillan Distribution. The reason for the most recent shift from August 4, 2020, to January 5, 2021, can be summed up in two words: Midnight Sun.
The 4th book in the Twilight series has just been announced, dropping on August 4th, 2020 – the date we had booked for Crown of Bones.
My publisher tells me that shelf space in bookstores will be reserved for this Midnight Sun, and virtually only Midnight Sun. It’s suicide to release Crown of Bones (also a YA Fantasy title) at the same time. So…
Macmillan came up with a better date, January 5, 2021. Yeah, next year.
For those of you who have preordered, email me and I’ll do my best to get you an ARC to read before the release.
Again, I apologize from the bottom of my heart. Believe me, I’m not thrilled about having to announce another change at this time.
For all who are hanging in there with me, and even supporting it all with a pre-order, thank you so much!
